Perfection
Perfect Fall day in Long Beach. One of those rare surfing days where the rights were as good as the lefts...
Serenity
Sunset afterglow over Fire Island shot from East Islip Marina, NY.
The One That Got Away
Oof. What a day this was. Hurricane swell pumping in Montauk. Shot a few and went surfing!
Seagull Peak
You know how I know the wind was offshore? Well, yea the clean wave is a bit of a giveaway but birds will always sit with their beaks into the wind as they are aerodynamic. Next time you can't find a flag, look for a bird!
Catch of the Day
Such a fun day! Surfed this spot with just a few friends. Perfect chest to head high tubing waves with offshore wind.
Ocean's Fury
This day was pretty crazy! Once again that Montauk light/weather combo is hard to beat. Wind was gusting around 40, there were snow squalls and yes... fishermen out there in those conditions. Catching our food. Kind of crazy.
Staying Close
Classic scene here in Montauk. Lots of fishing.
Hidden Gems
Hidden to the world, but easy to find. Something about a boardwalk and a sunset that just feels good. Ya know? Lots of thoughts... Like, how far does it go? What's at the end of it?
Insider
When New York gets good, it gets good. And to think, that was just the inside section.
Empty Dreams
This day was a pretty incredible one right in the ole backyard. Morning started out pretty large with some insanely perfect ones mixed in amongst the scary ones. The guys were on it. Got shacked that day.
Perfect Setup
This day I saw some of the larger and more perfect waves that I'd seen here on Long Island. This is a spot that occasionally produces that magic but will 100% test your paddling and breath holding abilities.
Snowy Peak
This was an incredibly fun (but cold) day of surf! Head high perfection under a pretty impressive backdrop.
Winter's Dream
Nothing warm about this one except for the beauty. Windy, cold and beautiful.
NYC
I'm not a huge city person, but I do respect it. We live in it's shadow. From many of the spots I surf you can see Manhattan. This is that said metropolis from one of my favorite places ever.
Heavenly Mornings
This is from a lesser known cove in Montauk at sunrise during a long period hurricane swell. Ended up surfing somewhere else this day but that looked pretty darn good!
Frozen Bliss
This day is from one of the better but colder sessions I've ever had in my life. It's always about the story behind the photo or the session that helps you to realize why it was so good but this day started off as a blizzard. Like snowed in, don't leave your house kind of situation. Spent the day digging out and cruised down just in time to score an epic afternoon session. Literally couldn't feel my extremities for many hours after this session!
Empty Mornings
Really love the palette on this one. The waves were super fun looking and the morning light had just broken over the thick cloud base on the horizon from the previous night's storm.
Surfer's Dream
This is pretty much my ideal setup. Head high tubes in clear green water. This was a really fun day at a random stretch of sand on the east end!
Inside
If you surf, you probably know what being on the "inside" means. Long Beach, NY 2016.
Classic Montauk Summer
Those Summer windswells that occasionally throw you a head dip or two.. Just off the beaten path.
Outward
A whole lot of water moves around right there... If you are remotely familiar with the Montauk surf scene (and beyond) you might recognize that guy right there; that's Stevie White. He is a legend. I've seen him charge a lot of big waves here in Montauk and have personally heard tales of his sessions from other parts of the world.
Seagulls In Flight
Really beautiful day of waves, cold if I remember correctly. Birds were flying all around and I decide to blow the image out a bit and focus on them. Not a bad result!
Strange Happenings
Beautiful backdrop to an iconic landmark. Radar Tower, Camp Hero, Montauk NY.
